Process & Quality

How a core becomes a unit you can spec.

Every PPROK alternator and starter moves through four engineering stages and a load test. The process is the product.

Stage 01

Core In

Inbound logistics and identification

100%

Cores catalogued before teardown

  • Each returning core is logged against its OEM application, year, vehicle platform, and original failure mode if reported.
  • Photographed, weighed, and routed to the appropriate tear-down station.
  • Core charge economics close the loop with our distributor partners and keep recoverable mass out of US landfills.
Stage 02

Strip & Diagnose

Full teardown with failure-mode logging

0

Marginal parts re-used

  • The unit is broken down to every replaceable component. Windings, bearings, rectifiers, regulators, brushes, fans, pulleys.
  • Each part is inspected for the failure mode that brought it in. The data flows back to engineering.
  • Anything that does not meet our re-use criteria is replaced - no exceptions.
Stage 03

Improve

Engineering-led component selection

53 yr

Of accumulated improvement data

  • Where the OEM design has a known weakness, we substitute. Better bearings, better diodes, regulators chosen for the actual load profile your platform sees.
  • These decisions come from Dan Brooks and the engineering team, not from a spreadsheet of part costs.
  • We document every spec deviation against the OEM baseline so you know what changed and why.
Stage 04

Process Test

Full RPM curve, every unit

100%

Tested before shipping

  • Every unit is loaded on the test stand and run against the spec your platform requires.
  • Output current, voltage regulation, brush contact, and bearing temperature are logged.
  • Pass criteria are application-specific. If the unit cannot hit your number under load, it does not ship.
Public Documents

Quality documentation is available to qualified OEM partners on request.

Process control plans, inspection criteria, and quality certification documents sit behind a signed mutual NDA and the start of a real OEM conversation. Ask, and we will share.
