About PPROK

A focused remanufacturer.
The same address since 1972.

Three generations of OEM-grade alternator and starter work, out of the same Oklahoma City facility. We make a small set of things very well, and we do not chase the catalog.

The Origin

Started by a Mechanical Engineering DNA.

Precision Parts & Remanufacturing Co. opened its doors in Oklahoma City in 1972. The brief was specific: rebuild alternators and starters for original equipment manufacturers, and do it well enough that the rebuilt unit out-runs the brand-new one.

More than fifty years on, that brief has not changed. Dan Brooks, the company's president, holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Oklahoma. The engineers across the floor work directly with him to evaluate each platform we support, and to decide where the OEM design has room to be improved.

The work happens inside a single building at 4411 SW 19th Street in Oklahoma City. A hundred-plus people work the floor, the test bench, and the office. Many of them have been here for decades.

What we believe

Four principles, written down.

01

Engineer-led

Decisions about what to change in a unit come from the people who can read the failure mode on the test stand, not from the catalog.

02

Application-specific

We will quote a tighter bearing or a different regulator for your platform if the field data supports it. That is the whole reason a customer chooses reman over new.

03

Honest output

Every unit is loaded on a test stand and run against the spec your platform requires. The PPROK sticker means the unit produced rated output that morning, in Oklahoma City, under load.

04

Stable on purpose

Many of our floor employees have over twenty years here. That is a feature, not an accident. Reman work rewards craft, and craft rewards staying.

Leadership
